The Vodacom Blue Bulls started their preparations for the 2020 season in style beating TUKS 40-0 in the first match of the day before demolishing TUKS "B" 96-05.

The first match was error-ridden as can be expected for the first "match" of the season. The Bulls lead 21-0 at halftime scoring three tries in each half. However, a player that took his chances on the "big stage" was the substitute loosie of Tuks Keenan Opperman who still represented The Blue Bulls in the u/19 Series in 2019. Several Blue Bulls players' bodies will know that they played chicken with Keenan and lost.

The second game between the "B" teams was a complete mismatch with nothing gained. The Bulls beating Tuks 96-05 confirming that TUKS depth not enough to secure them a place in the play-offs come Varsity Cup time.
